The Castillo San Felipe del Morro, also known as the El Morro, this fort is one of Puerto Rico's oldest structures in the corner islet of Old San Juan. This fort was first used by the Spanish as a defense until the United States took charge of it due to the Spanish-American War. During the First & Second World Wars, El Morro was used as a miltary installation. Today, The fort is used as a National Site for tourists around the world to see.

Puerto Rican model is Victoria's Secret's first model with Down Syndrome

According to USA Today, a Puerto Rican model named Sofia Jirau is the first Victoria's Secret model with Down Syndrome. The 24 year old, along with 17 other women, join in the new underwear line and campaign by Victoria's Secret called Love Cloud Collection. Jirau thanked the company on her Instagram post for seeing her as a model "without limits".

Puerto Rico mourns the lost of a famous musician

The people of Puerto Rico have been grieving the lost of beloved musician and percussionist Hector (Tito) Matos died on January 18th from a heart attack at age fifty-three. Matos was well-known for revolving his music around plena, a musical genre that originated to the Black and working-class communities and is played on handheld drums of three sizes called panderos or panderetas.
